Mark Simpson – General Manager

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mark keeps his focus on our clients’ goals, while exacting excellence in every aspect of an event. Whether it’s a sales rally or wedding reception, each client faces unique challenges in producing a successful event. That’s where Mark makes a difference, actively listening and providing innovative solutions. We all think Mark coined the phrase “We’ll make it work!”

Mark and his wife Jane have five grown children and live in Roswell, where they enjoy wine tasting and playing ALTA mixed doubles, although not at the same time.

Lara Storm – Executive Chef

Having grown up on a farm in Ohio, Lara learned the real meaning of “farm to table.” Our suppliers know that if their produce isn’t fresh, it goes right back on the truck. That’s one of the reasons The Metropolitan Club has enjoyed a glowing reputation for excellent food since we opened in 2003. Lara’s work ethic translates very well to an environment where serving “a la carte” quality cuisine is the order of the day, every day. And while basic standards like “hot foods served hot” and “cold foods served cold” is much easier for 50 than it is for 400, Lara insists on perfection. Everything on our menus is made in-house from scratch with the best ingredients on the market.

Lara and her husband Jim live on Lake Lanier, where, during the summer, Lara water-skis every morning before coming in to our lively kitchen.

Lee Chadwick – President and Owner

Lee is a fifth generation chef and a recognized authority in the areas of food, travel and entertaining. She has long enjoyed a leadership role in professional groups such as the Club Managers of America and the National Restaurant Association. Lee has written articles for magazines throughout the East on topics ranging from corporate table manners and trendy showers to buffet creativity and honeymoon travel.
In the fall of 2005 Lee released ‘Some Assembly Required,’ her highly regarded cooking manual, focusing on the elements of stylish entertaining for informal events. Lee shows readers that enjoying their own party is truly an art. The book is published by Meridian International and is available at Barnes and Noble bookstores nationwide, and at

Lee greatly enjoys her role in community service. She is on the boards of directors of six hardworking nonprofit organizations. In December of 2008, Lee was awarded the GRACE Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding work within the nonprofit community by the National Restaurant Association.
