What is the venue capacity?

Our venue capacity is typically 350-400 seated and 700-800 standing.

Does our event have to end at a certain time?

Accepted Answer

The timeline of each event at The Metropolitan Club is unique, with the average event lasting for four hours. If you would like to host a longer occasion with us, we are happy to accommodate your request!

Is there an additional charge for a dance floor?

Accepted Answer

Our 24ft. x 27ft. marble dance floor is built into the ballroom and is available at no extra cost to you!

How long do I have access to the venue on the day of my event?

We prioritize the success of your event with us and wish to provide you with a stress-free setup experience. Please discuss your setup & teardown timeframe with a member of our sales team to confirm availability!

Can I drop off items the day before?

Accepted Answer

Please discuss this with a member of our sales team. So long as there is not another event taking place, we are happy to accommodate you!

When do I need to have everything out of the space; what is required for cleanup?

We would like our guests to take all their decorations down immediately after the event. In some cases where we have events over the weekend, we do allow decorators/clients to pick up their decorations on Monday morning.

The Metropolitan Club facilitates the setup and breakdown of all tables and chairs.

Are tables provided for gifts, place cards, guest books, mementos, etc? Is there any additional charge for tables?

Standard tables and chairs are available at no additional cost to you. Should you require extra tables, please discuss your request with a member of our sales team. This way, your requests can be properly communicated to the rest of your team!

Does The Metropolitan Club provide table linens?

Yes! Tables, linens, and chairs are included in the rental fee.

What are the options for getting ready in the space prior to my event?

We have a green room/bridal room that our clients like to use as a private area for
changing and getting ready.

Who provides linens, glassware, etc?

Accepted Answer

The Metropolitan Club provides linens, glassware, flatware, and chinaware for most events. Exceptions may occur should your event utilize outside catering.

Will there be security at my event?

The Metropolitan Club does not provide security for events, but for big events, we will
recommend the guest having a security officer privately securing the space.

Can I use an event/wedding planner?

What is the responsibility of The Metropolitan Club coordinators?

Accepted Answer

The Metropolitan Club coordinators will receive you when you first come to the space, listen to you and understand what you’re envisioning for your dream party, bridge the gap between your dream and the logistics of how to get there, work with the necessary parties that need to be involved in your event (DJs, decorators, etc), alleviate any worries you have and account for them PRIOR to the event, walk the floor during your event, and shake your hand as you are leaving. We take great pride in our work and provide full service!

Candles are allowed as long as they are contained.

Do you have a preferred vendors list?

We absolutely do and we can pass you this list even if you decide not to book with us.
Over 23 years of planning events, we have curated a great list of people to work with
and we are happy to share them and pass their information to anyone that wants it.

What is your restroom situation?

We have two sets of restrooms. One set is adjacent to our ballroom. The other set of restrooms is located within the living room, adjacent to the main bar.

Is your venue wheelchair accessible?

The entire venue is on one floor and there are no stairs.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is allowed in designated areas, namely outside the front doors and the back
patio.

What is the parking situation? How much is available? Is it complimentary or is there a
fee?

We have 600+ complimentary parking spots right in front of our building. There will
never be an issue regarding parking. It is seamless.

Is valet parking an option? Is it recommended? If so, why?

Valet parking is not necessary considering our parking lot is massive and right in front of the venue.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

All payments made to the Metropolitan Club are nonrefundable. This is because any
day we hold for a one-of-a-kind event is a day we can’t offer to someone else. Events
sometimes can be moved, depending on how close your event is.

How far in advance should I book?

For prime dates (Saturdays, Fridays during busy months such as April and August –
December), 9-12 months out.

Do you charge a service fee; what does it cover?

We do charge a service fee of 20% and it covers the cost of keeping our staff well
compensated.

Do you allow photo shoots?

Yes, we do. We would love for you to take photos in our beautiful venue.

Will the person working with you to plan your party be present throughout the event to
assist you?

Yes. From the venue tour to booking your event to coordinating logistics to executing
your event to shaking your hand as you leave, your event coordinator will be with you.

Will a staff person greet guests as they arrive?

Is a coatroom provided, with an attendant?

Our coat room is available to all clients! Please discuss the logistics of this with your Sales Manager.

Will the facility operators guarantee the venue temperature to be comfortable regardless
of the temperature outside?

Yes. We can guarantee a cool temperature will be maintained in the venue during your
event.

Is it possible to drop of personal items being used at the event earlier in the week?
